It's been quite a year since my humble beginnings with the goal to teach improv as skills to be used at work, life and at school. Combining both storytelling to captivate the audience (both theatrical and corporate), and "no fear" creativity (i.e. improv), I've been able to grow on existing clients and students happy with my service. Loving it!
But I can't do it all myself, so here's a thank you to those who've helped and were forward thinking to use my services:
THANK YOU! MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR - remember besides the "Yes, and.." that "...the most important person is your scene partner...", which are the people that you care for around you. Stay safe! P.S. I'll be taking a short break over the next few days, but will be back on the Monday 06 January 2014 with some FREE improv workshops for kids as part of the Parramatta Riverside activities. I hope to see you there! In the meantime, feel free to contact me with any queries for the new year. ![]() It's getting close to Christmas, and most people are winding down, but I'm preparing to teach more classes in Parramatta, Kellyville, Burwood and possibly Chatswood! BUT IT'S NOT JUST IMPROV! THERE'S PAPER PUPPETRY AND FORGOTTEN FABLES! AND IT'S FREE! Here are the dates for the Parramatta sessions (the rest TBC): Children's Improv Workshop - FREE 3 sessions on Monday 06 January 2013 Paper Puppetry Parables - FREE 2 sessions on Wednesday 08 January and Tuesday 21 January 2013 There are heaps of other activities as well, on the Parramatta Council website here. If you're interested in having classes elsewhere, feel free to request one via the CONTACT ME form. Well, if you weren't at 'SKETCH: Art Inspired Improv' last Saturday (07/12/13) then you missed out on a great show!
It had drama, intrigue, comedy and even a commentary on social concepts, all based on the artwork provided by the talented artists in the Pop-Up Parramatta program. Of course, the quick sketches by the audiences didn't go to waste either; who could forget Towel Man, Ping Pong the Panda and the coming of age story of a man speaking through his puppet due to his shyness? So... Thank you for those who came to see the show! Thank you to the artists (Mary Tamras, Susan Wang, Tam Cao and Nam Nguyen)! Thank you to my cast Jason D and Cindy T!
